Compiles cx_Freeze's bootloader support library: a small executable (freeze_core.bases.console) linked against libpython, built from portable C plus a generated frozen-module source. Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors upstream's own build-sdist.yml + build-wheel.yml.

Differs from upstream

  • Added manylinux/musllinux riscv64 images - no riscv64 equivalent upstream.
  • Test job runs separately on the riscv64 runner instead of via cibuildwheel's test hooks - upstream's own suite hardcodes a ./wheelhouse relative path and upstream tests the same way, outside cibuildwheel.

Testing

  • Upstream's own tests/test_208.py: freezes a sample app with cx_Freeze and runs the frozen executable. Skips musllinux - no musl riscv64 image elsewhere in this repo to test against.

License: OK

Built on cp312; 1 passed, 15 skipped (Windows-only tests).

freeze-core is cx_Freeze's bootloader/support library: on Linux its only
native component is a small bootloader executable compiled from portable
C (console.c/_common.c + a generated frozen-module source), built per
interpreter via setuptools - no prebuilt bootloader binaries, which is
why upstream ships one wheel per cp3NN ABI. Mirrors upstream's own sdist
then cibuildwheel recipe, overriding only the build selector and the
riscv64 manylinux/musllinux images; testing reuses upstream's own
wheelhouse-based test fixture on the manylinux leg.

Built to branch gh-pages at 2026-10-13 15:47 UTC.
Preview will be ready when the GitHub Pages deployment is complete.

Upstream's pyproject.toml pins [tool.cibuildwheel.linux] archs to
"x86_64 aarch64 ppc64le", so every build job selected zero identifiers
and failed with "No build identifiers selected". Set CIBW_ARCHS=riscv64.

The test_wheels matrix had no python axis, so its include entries
overwrote each other and only a single cp314t job was generated. Add the
python axis so each include attaches python-version to its own job.

Install the built wheel in the same resolve as cx_Freeze so uv does not
build the newest freeze-core sdist from source on the runner first.
