Compiles the pybind11 exiv2api extension and bundles libexiv2.so (Exiv2 0.28.8). Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors the on_linux job of upstream's build.yml and the wheel step of release.yml.

Differs from upstream

  • Exiv2 is built from source because Exiv2 publishes no riscv64 release build. The build follows Exiv2's release.yml.
  • zlib, brotli, inih and expat are linked statically at the versions Exiv2's conanfile pins, as in its release build.
  • Builds in the manylinux_2_39 image and tags manylinux_2_39_riscv64.

Matrix: cp312, cp313, cp314. Wheels are tagged cpXY-none, so a cp314t wheel would collide with the cp314 one. Upstream ships no free-threaded wheel.

Testing

  • same as upstream

License: Wheel bundles Exiv2 (GPL-2.0-or-later), zlib (Zlib), brotli (MIT), inih (BSD-3-Clause) and expat (MIT); upstream ships no licence text for them, so the build adds it.

Built and tested natively on x86_64 with Python 3.12; 50 passed.

GNUInstallDirs defaults CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR to lib64 on the Rocky-based
manylinux_2_39_riscv64 image, so expat installed libexpat.a under
deps-prefix/lib64 while the Exiv2 configure pointed EXPAT_LIBRARY at
deps-prefix/lib/libexpat.a, failing the build with "missing and no known
rule to make it". Exiv2 itself would likewise have installed libexiv2.so
under lib64, breaking the readelf step and build_wheels, which expect
Exiv2's release layout (lib/). Pin CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR=lib for brotli,
expat and Exiv2.
