Compiles the OpenGeode C++ libraries and their pybind11 bindings through upstream's CMake superbuild (Abseil, PROJ, GDAL, SQLite, Async++ and more, all from source). Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors Geode-solutions' cpp-deploy-linux-python.yml, which OpenGeode's deploy.yml calls.

Differs from upstream

  • manylinux_2_39_riscv64 image instead of Geode's RHEL gcc-toolset-14 image.
  • CMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 - the image's CMake 4 rejects old superbuild deps.
  • auditwheel repair instead of renaming linux to manylinux_2_28.

Matrix: cp312, cp313, cp314 - upstream caps requires-python below 3.15 and ships no free-threaded build.

Testing

  • Upstream's 42 Python binding tests run against the installed wheel instead of the build tree.

License: Wheel bundles Abseil (Apache-2.0), GDAL and PROJ (MIT), SQLite (public domain), Async++ (MIT) and GDAL's internal codecs; upstream ships no licence text, so the build adds it.

Not yet built; CI is the first riscv64 run.

test-py-projection.py checks point_segment_projection2D of (5.5, 1.5)
with an exact != against (0.5, 2.5). GCC's default -ffp-contract=fast
fuses the multiply-adds into FMA on riscv64, so the result lands one ULP
away (0.50000000000000011, 2.5000000000000004) and the 3.12 job failed
on that test alone. Patch the test to use inexact_equal, as the C++
test already does for the 3D q4 case; the library code is unchanged.
