Mirrors zig-pypi's own make_wheels.py repackaging (no compilation, the riscv64-linux Zig tarball is downloaded from ziglang.org and re-wrapped into a wheel), the same path upstream's own CD workflow uses for every other platform it publishes.

twine depends on keyring -> SecretStorage -> cryptography -> cffi. cffi/cryptography have no riscv64 wheel on public PyPI, and this bare riscv64 runner lacks libffi-dev to build cffi from source, so pip's plain install tried and failed to compile it (ffi.h missing). Pull the registry's prebuilt riscv64 wheels instead, same fix as build-pymongocrypt.yml uses for the same dependency chain.

ziglang0.17.0Repackages the official riscv64-linux Zig release tarball into a wheel. Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.
Mirrors zig-pypi's
cd.yml, running its ownmake_wheels.py --platform riscv64-linux(sha256-verified download from ziglang.org, same path it already uses for every platform it publishes).Differs from upstream
git clone- its repo is on Codeberg, not GitHub.zigbinary and compiles+runs a one-line program, proving it executes on riscv64.Testing
python -m ziglang version, thenzig build-exeon a trivial program and run the result.License: OK.
Built locally on x86_64 (make_wheels.py performs no compilation); riscv64 execution verified in CI.
