Meson-python build of the _vmprof C extension (statistical CPython profiler, stack walking via vendored libbacktrace + system libunwind). Upstream publishes cp310-cp314/pp311-pp312 wheels for x86_64/aarch64/macOS/Windows only, zero riscv64.

Mirrors upstream's own cibuildwheel.yml: same manylinux build, same dnf install -y libunwind-devel before-build.

Differs from upstream

  • Matrix drops cp314t - upstream's own CIBW_SKIP excludes free-threaded builds already.
  • Does not skip tests on riscv64 - upstream's CIBW_TEST_SKIP is there only to dodge QEMU emulation on x86 runners; ours is native hardware.

Testing

  • same as upstream (pytest vmprof jitlog -vv)

License: OK.

No local build rehearsal in this sandbox (no riscv64/manylinux docker access here); riscv64 CI will confirm libunwind-devel's availability on the manylinux image.

Mirrors upstream's own cibuildwheel.yml: meson-python build of the _vmprof
C extension against system libunwind, narrowed to riscv64. Upstream skips
free-threaded wheels (vmprof does not support Py_GIL_DISABLED), so this
drops cp314t from the matrix the same way.
manylinux_2_39_riscv64 is RHEL 10-based, which moved libunwind to EPEL;
manylinux enables no EPEL on riscv64 (gotcha 140), so upstream's
`dnf install -y libunwind-devel` before-build fails with 'No match for
argument: libunwind-devel' on all three build legs. Build libunwind
1.8.3 from source instead, same as build-memray.yml.
