Verified against the code at rocicorp/mono 22fa3c27e: ConnectionState in zero-client/src/client/connection.ts, the ConnectionManager constructor, #runLoop in zero.ts, and mutator-proxy.ts for writes.

Not done

• public/images/connection-state/lifecycle.png still shows Zero starting in Connecting. It's a PNG with no source in the repo, so it needs a redraw.
• assets/search-index.json is not regenerated, to avoid conflicts with the other 1.11 docs PRs. Regenerate it when merging.
