Summary

A measurement or outcome recorded on a step after its with block exited was silently dropped from the step tree: the step and every parent above it stayed PASSED while only the report went FAILED, producing a failed report in which every step passed. This fixes the roll-up and adds a warning so the mis-ordering is visible before it costs anyone a wrong report.

Verification

  • Reproduced the reported shape offline (telemetry read inside a substep, the three measure calls one dedent outside it) against a six-deep step tree: before, all six steps uploaded PASSED with the report FAILED; after, all six are FAILED with one corrective write on the closed step and one update each for the rest.
  • Confirmed the warning fires on the first passing measurement of that sequence, before any value goes out of bounds.
