Adds Ask to the Exchanges page: a question like "failed SkyNet orders since Monday" becomes the page's own filter (chips, link, saved views), with a one-line answer that uses the page's count.
Privacy:
Only the question, the time, and the names of partners, subscriptions, information types and promoted-property keys go to the AI provider.
No exchange data or counts are sent.
Every id and key in the answer is checked before use.
The user can see exactly what was sent.
Each question is recorded in the audit log.
Endpoint: POST /api/xchangequeries (exchanges.view). Docs updated in configuration, admin-ui and api-reference.

📝 Summary
Summary
Adds an Ask flow to the Exchanges page. It converts a plain-English question into the page’s existing filters and displays an answer based on the current result count.
Adds POST /api/xchangequeries, protected by exchanges.view. The request includes a question and optional time zone. The response includes the filter query, answer, notes, model name, and sent prompt.
The API builds the prompt from the question, local time, and available names and promoted-property keys. It records the question in the audit log before calling the AI provider. It validates returned filter values against available statuses, IDs, keys, ranges, and dates.
Updates the client API and configuration, admin UI, and API reference documentation.
Risk: risk:medium. This adds an external AI call and processes model output to generate filters. The output validation and restricted prompt inputs reduce risk, but the integration depends on provider configuration and response behavior.
Security-sensitive areas: AI-provider data handling, authorization, audit logging, and validation of model-generated filter values. Review the prompt contents and provider retention settings against the deployment’s data-handling requirements.
Test coverage impact: Adds unit tests for prompt generation and response parsing, HTTP tests for configured and unconfigured AI, and UI tests for filter application and answer display. Test execution results were not provided.
Operational concerns: The feature requires AI provider configuration. No database migration, deployment change, or rollback procedure is identified in the supplied changes. Disabling or removing the feature would leave the rest of the Exchanges page independent.
The change adds an API that converts a question into validated Exchanges-page filters. The web client submits questions, applies returned filters, and displays the answer, notes, model, and sent prompt.

Summary
Prompt and query validation SW.Bitween.Api/Services/Ai/ExchangeQueryPrompt.cs, SW.Bitween.UnitTests/Ai/ExchangeQueryPromptTests.cs
The prompt includes the question, time, and available names. Response parsing validates supported filters and values, then creates an encoded query, answer, and notes. Unit tests cover prompt construction and parsing.
API request and provider flow SW.Bitween.Api/Domain/OperatorAction.cs, SW.Bitween.Api/Resources/XchangeQueries/Ask.cs, SW.Bitween.HttpTests/AskExchangesTests.cs, docs/api-reference.md, docs/configuration.md
The endpoint checks permission and question length, gathers names, resolves the time zone, records an operator action, and calls the configured provider. HTTP tests cover configured and unconfigured AI. Documentation describes the endpoint and data sent.
The client posts questions with the browser time zone and applies the returned query. The page displays the answer, notes, model, and sent prompt. Tests cover configured and unconfigured AI states. The admin UI guide documents Ask.
Ask can occasionally give an incorrect time context, fail on an AI response, clear existing filters, or hide an answer after a filter change. The change is mergeable with these bounded issues tracked for correction.

- Around line 98-99: Update the document query in Ask.Handle to project only the
Id, Name, and PromotedProperties fields used downstream before materializing the
results, avoiding retrieval of unused Document columns.
Review comments at @SW.Bitween.Api/Services/Ai/ExchangeQueryPrompt.cs:
- Line 109: Update the time formatting in the prompt-building code around
message.AppendLine so both the date/time and weekday use
CultureInfo.InvariantCulture. Preserve the existing output structure and
timezone text.
- Around line 243-245: Update the ID extraction logic in the visible parsing
flow to avoid casting model-supplied integer tokens to int before validating
their range. Drop out-of-range IDs without throwing and add a note for each
dropped ID; preserve the existing known-ID check and note behavior for IDs
within range.
Review comments at @SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/api/client.ts:
- Around line 775-784: Move the askExchanges method and its documentation above
the existing createExchange documentation so the “Manually injects a payload”
comment remains directly attached to createExchange.
Review comments at
@SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/pages/exchanges/AskExchanges.tsx:
- Around line 195-197: Update the notes list rendering in AskExchanges to use a
unique key for each occurrence, since repeated note text can produce duplicate
keys. Include the map index in the key while preserving the displayed note text.
- Around line 59-66: In the AskExchanges response handler, distinguish an empty
res.query with notes from a valid empty query: display the notes using the
panel’s error state and return before apply(changes) or setOpen(false),
preserving current filters and keeping the explanation visible. Leave empty
queries without notes on the existing clear-and-count path.
- Around line 61-66: Update AskButton’s response handling to build changes from
FILTER_KEYS and the returned query keys, clearing every page filter while
preserving the open parameter. Remove its stale searchParams prop and the
corresponding prop passed by its caller.
