The published
server-v0.0.8binary still binds all interfaces with unsafe implicit local authentication. The configuration page warns operators not to expose it to untrusted networks and distinguishes the pending safer network defaults from the currently downloadable version.Telemetry is disclosed only at the requested level: Supermemory collects telemetry, and operators can disable it with
SUPERMEMORY_DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1. The docs no longer describe telemetry payloads, destinations, schedules, or identifiers.The overview and README narrow the offline claim to local text/file workflows after the embedding-model download; URL ingestion uses a hosted reader. They also clarify that the downloadable server is built from private source while other public-repository components remain open source.
Validation:
git diff --check; manually compared the current 0.0.8 release and private source paths. No binary release is triggered by this docs PR.
