Codegen failing with exception:

[main] ERROR io.swagger.parser.SwaggerCompatConverter - failed to read resource listing
com.fasterxml.jackson.core.JsonParseException: Unrecognized token 'openapi': was expecting (JSON String, Number, Array, Object or token 'null', 'true' or 'false')

This worked prior to 3.0.78

I think that the release is broken, look at the diffs

This actually appears to be an issue with homebrew

After running brew install swagger-codegen to get the latest. I see the following

$ which swagger-codegen
/opt/homebrew/bin/swagger-codegen

$ ls -al /opt/homebrew/bin/swagger-codegen
lrwxr-xr-x@ 1 joe.salomone  admin  52 Apr  2 13:30 /opt/homebrew/bin/swagger-codegen -> ../Cellar/swaggercodegen/3.0.78/bin/swagger-codegen

$ swagger-codegen version
2.4.51-SNAPSHOT

$ /opt/homebrew/bin/swagger-codegen version
2.4.51-SNAPSHOT

$ /opt/homebrew/Cellar/swagger-codegen/3.0.78/bin/swagger-codegen version
2.4.51-SNAPSHOT

If I manually create the jar for 3.0.78 from branch 3.0.0 and map it, swagger-codegen seems to work fine.

Another, easier work around is to install the 3.0.78 jar from https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/io.swagger.codegen.v3/swagger-codegen/3.0.78

This issue is because https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-codegen/releases/tag/v3.0.78 src zip is actually from branch master and not branch 3.0.0. Meaning that the src download for that is actually 2.4.51-SNAPSHOT.

Opened related ticket: Homebrew/homebrew-core#275827

This fix for this is to https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-codegen/releases/tag/v3.0.78 to contain src zip from branch 3.0.0 and not from master.

It looks like 3.0.78 was supposed to be 4c58889.

The version on Maven looks okay - https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/io/swagger/codegen/v3/swagger-codegen-cli/3.0.78/

So likely mistagged in GitHub repository.
