Why
The two examples in this repository now live in one repository each, so the README here describes a layout that has moved. Anyone landing on this repo should be sent to the right place rather than reading setup steps for directories that are no longer maintained.
How
Replaces the README with a pointer to the two new repositories, keeping the comparison table so a reader can still pick between them. The example directories stay in place, so existing clones and deep links keep working.
What
README.md: points at the two repositories, names the five tools both implement, and says the package name in each changed to match its repository.New repositories, both public, history preserved:
Two fixes to the old text: the tool list was missing, and the last docs link pointed at a Mintlify preview host rather than plain.com. This repo is not archived. Its GitHub description is a repo setting, not a file, so it still names Claude Code, Codex, pi and opencode and needs changing separately.
Note
Low Risk
Documentation-only README changes with no runtime, auth, or data-handling impact.
Overview
Repositions this repo as a landing page after the Eve and AI SDK examples moved to dedicated GitHub repositories (
example-eve-assistant-agentandexample-aisdk-assistant-agent). The README title becomes “Plain custom agent examples,” states that local directories remain only for backward-compatible links and are not maintained, and retargets the comparison table from in-repo paths to those external repos. It also documents what both agents share (five tool names and behavior), how to start them in Plain (“Ask Sidekick”), and fixes documentation links to plain.com instead of a Mintlify preview URL. Local
example-*folders are unchanged in this diff; only onboarding and discovery copy is updated.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 08fbc66. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
