[BUG] [PTL?] Firmware crash when using compress stream with apps/os_linux_overlay.conf #11179

Describe the bug
When the firmware is built with apps/os_linux_overlay.conf any compress operation will leads to a firmware crash on PTL at leasr, MTL/ARL works fine.

To Reproduce
Build firmware for PTL w/ the linux overlay:

./scripts/xtensa-build-zephyr.py -o app/compr/all_codecs.conf -o app/os_linux_overlay.conf ptl

on DUT:

./src/utils/cplay -c0 -d52 -I MP3 <mp3 file>
./src/utils-lgpl/fcplay -c0 -d52 -I AAC <aac file>
./src/utils/cplay -c0 -d52 -I PCM <wav file>

in all cases the fw crashes (works on MTL)

Build firmware for PTL w/o the linux overlay:

./scripts/xtensa-build-zephyr.py -o app/compr/all_codecs.conf ptl

on DUT:

./src/utils/cplay -c0 -d52 -I MP3 <mp3 file>
./src/utils-lgpl/fcplay -c0 -d52 -I AAC <aac file>
./src/utils/cplay -c0 -d52 -I PCM <wav file>

mp3, aac works fine, pcm fails with memory allocation issue (all works fine on MTL)

Expected behavior
The firmware does not crash in case of mp3 and aac, pcm fail with memory allocation.

Impact
Compress is not usable with app/os_linux_overlay.conf, which is the primary configuration for Linux.

   • Kernel: ANy
   • SOF: main
2. Name of the topology file
   • Topology: sof-sdca-amp-compr.tplg, sof-sdca-jack-compr.tplg
3. Name of the platform(s) on which the bug is observed.
   • Platform: PTL as tested, but LNL and WCL might be impacted
