I am submitting

  • a new package
  • an update for a package

Description: A one-page resume with serif type, centered section headings over a thin rule, and education first. It's the Classic design from ReadableResume, a free resume template site I run, where it's offered as a Google Docs and Word file. This is the Typst version of the same layout, checked line by line against a PDF export of the Docs file. Everything stays in one column with no tables, text boxes or icons, so the text comes out of the PDF in reading order, which is what applicant tracking systems need.

I have read and followed the submission guidelines and, in particular, I

  • selected a name that isn't the most obvious or canonical name for what the package does
    • Explanation: "readable" comes from ReadableResume, the site the design is from, and "classic" is the name the design has there, so someone following the homepage link finds the same name on both sides. The canonical names would be classic-resume or classic-cv, which I'm not claiming.
  • added a typst.toml file with all required keys
  • added a README.md with documentation for my package
  • have chosen a license and added a LICENSE file or linked one in my README.md
  • tested my package locally on my system and it worked
  • excluded PDFs or README images, if any, but not the LICENSE
  • ensured that my package is licensed such that users can use and distribute the contents of its template directory without restriction, after modifying them through normal use.

Notes:

  • typst init @preview/readable-classic:0.1.0 into an empty directory, then typst compile, works with no errors.
  • The design uses Georgia. Where it isn't installed (Linux, the web app) there's one "unknown font family" warning and the text falls back to Libertinus Serif. The README explains this and points to Gelasio as a free substitute.
  • Compiled with 0.12.0, 0.13.1, 0.14.2 and 0.15.1. compiler is 0.12.0 because the layout uses block(sticky:) and par(spacing:).
  • typst-package-check check reports nothing.
  • lib.typ is MIT and template/ is MIT-0. The split is stated in LICENSE and in the README.
  • There are no README images or PDFs, so nothing to exclude.
  • The person, schools and companies in the sample are made up.
