docs: Apollo mmWave 2.3.0 guides, Radar setup, slider lock, zone map in feet - #1197
Guides (products/general/setup/apollo-mmwave-dashboard{,-setup}.md, shown under every MSR-1, MSR-2, R PRO-1 and MTR-1 section)
Follow the new Start here order: Radar setup card first, then calibrate, then range and timeout.
New sections: Radar setup card (gate radar and LD2450 checks), Set the range and timeout (locked sliders, with a looping clip), the LD2450 Radar setup card, Zone presence / LD2450 Live / LD2450 Controls, the Device card and support file.
Zone map: feet or meters with the m / ft switch, fitted to the radar's 120° view, and the Locked button now also locks Cone rotation.
Troubleshooting: empty or single-dot map (Zone Type, Multi Target Tracking), dots at the sensor (2.2.7 inches fix), a slider that won't move, sending a support file.
R PRO-1 steps put Dynamic Background Correction before calibrating; an R PRO-1 without the LD2412 skips calibration.
Zone pages: a Zone Type tip (leave it on Disabled / Close detection when using the dashboard's zone map) on the R PRO-1 and MTR-1 zone pages, including both HLK pages; the Zone Mapper snippet says the integration has the zone map built in.
Homey kept clean: choosing-an-mmwave-sensor.md swaps the "Beta: try the Zone Mapper" tip for a pointer to the integration's zone map, and the two Homey wrappers that include Home Assistant pages now use line ranges so that Home Assistant-only tip is skipped. homey.md drops the Zone Mapper beta line (Home Assistant-only tool).
Media (captured today on a real Home Assistant running 2.3.0, 540 px wide, alt text on each): 9 new images, 3 replaced (Start here, Controls without ESP Reboot, zone map in feet), and apollo-mmwave-slider-lock.mp4 (11 s loop, 65 KB) with a poster.
Checks: mkdocs build has no new warnings versus dev; local runs of check_markdown, check_secrets, check_images and check_links pass (0 broken links or anchors, 0 missing alt); all 8 sensor wrappers and the affected Homey pages render as intended.
Expanded Apollo mmWave dashboard guides with setup, calibration, radar controls, zone-map, and troubleshooting instructions.
Clarified how to draw zones for MTR-1 and R PRO-1, when to keep radar Zone Type disabled, and how Detection and Area Detection behave when zones are configured.
Updated Homey navigation and sensor-selection guidance to direct users to the dashboard’s built-in zone maps.
Added model-specific guidance for Home Assistant and Homey zone setup.
Update the setup and tuning guides for Apollo mmWave 2.3.0: the Start
here card, the Radar setup cards (gate radar and LD2450), locked
sliders with Unlock, the Device card, the 24 hour occupancy history,
gate rows named by distance, Any zone, and resets that ask first.
The zone map section covers the fitted 120 degree view and its range
caption, feet or meters with the m / ft switch, the Locked button that
also locks Cone rotation, and the Zone presence, LD2450 Live and
LD2450 Controls cards. Troubleshooting adds an empty or single-dot
map, the 2.2.7 inches fix, locked sliders and the support file.
Replace the Start here, Controls and zone map screenshots and add
screenshots of the Radar setup, Detection Range, Still Thresholds,
Device and LD2450 Live cards, plus a slider lock clip. The MTR-1
wrapper's intro no longer calls the zone map the whole tab.

Apollo mmWave 2.3.0's Radar setup card recommends Zone Type Disabled,
because the zone map replaces the LD2450's built-in zones. On
Detection with no built-in zones set, the radar reports nobody.
The R PRO-1 zone pages and the MTR-1 HLK page now say to leave Zone
Type on Disabled (Close detection in the HLK app) when drawing zones on
the dashboard. The MTR-1 zones page and both sensor definition pages
are included by Homey pages, so they only gain the platform-neutral
note that Detection with no zones set detects nobody.

The Radar & zones list linked to the standalone Zone Mapper beta,
which the Apollo mmWave zone map has replaced. Link the zone drawing
section of the Apollo mmWave dashboard guide instead.

Setup guide: "What to do first" now runs Dynamic Background Correction
before calibrating on an R PRO-1, says to skip calibration without the
LD2412 in step 2 instead of step 3, and nests the Auto-calibrate and
dimmed Gate Energy screenshots under the steps they show. MTR-1 readers
get a draw-zones link where the page only pointed at calibration, and
a taken-control dashboard is said to miss the updated Start here steps.
Tuning guide: label the Start here screenshot as the MSR-1 card, add
the R PRO-1 background correction step before "Run a calibration",
turn the walk test and the Cone rotation steps into numbered lists, and
point MTR-1 readers to the LD2450 Radar setup section. The Device card
now covers the MTR-1 (LD2450 firmware, no Firmware update row) and the
"Restart device (also restarts the radar)" label, the R PRO-1 history
names its LD2412 lines, and the tour's images sit under their bullets.
Smaller fixes: R PRO-1 Start here stays at the top of the tab, the
m / ft switch is in the bottom-right corner (undo sits next to it),
"Use recommended settings" can replace the Multi Target Tracking
button, and moving the sensor means redrawing zones as well.

HLK app pages: the "Drawing zones with the Apollo mmWave dashboard?"
tip now sits above step 4, so dashboard users pick Close detection
before the step that selects Area Detection, and step 4's screenshot
follows its own tip again. The R PRO-1 HLK page gets the same tip; no
Homey page includes it.
The MTR-1 Home Assistant zones tip now says to leave Zone Type on
Disabled, like the R PRO-1 one. The orphan Homey copy of that page
includes it by line range so it skips this Home Assistant-only tip.
Choosing an mmWave sensor replaces the Zone Mapper beta tip with a
pointer to the Apollo mmWave zone map. Its Homey copy now includes the
page by line range and skips that tip; the rest renders unchanged.
The Homey home page drops the Zone Mapper beta link, a Home Assistant
HACS tool (Homey's Radar regions guides are listed below it), and the
Zone Mapper pages say Apollo mmWave already has a zone map and to keep
Zone Type on Disabled.

Summary
Dashboard setup and first-use guidance docs/products/general/setup/apollo-mmwave-dashboard-setup.md, docs/products/general/setup/apollo-mmwave-dashboard.md
The guides describe the dashboard’s Start here and Radar setup cards, device-specific first-use steps, calibration, tab layouts, and 2.3.0 upgrade guidance.
Dashboard controls and troubleshooting docs/products/general/setup/apollo-mmwave-dashboard.md, docs/products/general/setup/apollo-mmwave-dashboard-setup.md
The guide covers slider locking, zone-map controls and status, LD2450 settings, troubleshooting, offline behavior, and support-file downloads.
Radar zone configuration guidance docs/_snippets/zone-mapper-tool.md, docs/products/mtr1/setup/*, docs/products/rpro1/setup/*, docs/homey/products/general/calibrating-and-updating/zone-configuration/zones-ha.md
MTR-1 and R PRO-1 instructions explain that dashboard zones replace built-in zones, when to keep Zone Type disabled, and how Detection behaves when no zones are configured. HLK app instructions distinguish Area Detection from Area Filtering.
Zone-map links and shared documentation docs/products/general/choosing-an-mmwave-sensor.md, docs/homey/products/general/choosing-an-mmwave-sensor.md, docs/index.md, docs/homey.md
The sensor-selection page now describes live-map zone drawing. The index links to zone-map instructions, and the beta Zone Mapper links are removed.
The documentation is mergeable with bounded follow-up: warn readers before publicly sharing zone diagnostics and repeat the dashboard-specific mode exception in the numbered instructions. Loss of custom-grid visibility has not been established.

A rabbit taps the map with care, Then draws a zone beside the hare. The setup cards now show the way, While radar settings join the day. The rabbit hops through guides anew.
Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
The upgrade instruction tells every owner of a pre-2.3.0 standalone zone-map card to delete grid and grid_units; those values may represent an intentional custom map extent rather than obsolete defaults.
Their saved map layout changes, potentially making previously visible zones harder to view or edit.
This can occur when: A reader has deliberately configured a larger or differently positioned grid to display zones outside the radar's fitted view and follows this instruction.
