Added guard against n_sided build call not converging

I ran into an issue on ARM64 Linux where the build would fail, but the only error message was StdFail_NotDone. This PR adds a guard that will give the user a clearer error message with some things they can try.

The failure is the same whether OCP is installed from PyPI or conda-forge. The issue has been reproduced on both an Ubuntu 22.04 ARM64 CI runner, and on a local Pinebook Pro ARM64 laptop.
