# Compatibility Contract

## Engine 0.183.368 source candidate

This candidate adds an optional TCP `healthCheck` to the existing typed External
Service CREATE plan. Its closed caller object requires `port` from 1 through
65535 and permits `interval`, `responseTimeout`, `healthyThreshold` and
`unhealthyThreshold`. Optional timing values use the existing typed positive
integer subset, 1 through 2147483647. Native metadata declares no timing bounds
or defaults; omitted values are not filled by this adapter.

HTTP controls, unknown fields, nulls, wrong types and fractional values are
rejected. Only the detached native body receives `requestLine=null` to select
TCP. Human review retains the exact caller fields. Native role/schema checks
repeat before preparation and dispatch, and the create receipt requires matching
TCP readback. Omitting `healthCheck` preserves None. External UPDATE health
checks remain unsupported; ordinary Service health checks are unchanged.

The existing parent, owner, role, Key revision, approval and one-claim boundaries
remain. Source re-extraction retains 447 inputs and all 1396 HTTP tuples with no
operation, admission, native-schema or role-grant delta. Existing focused source
evidence covers 48 unique methods: 7 new and 41 inherited. It is not a fresh full
suite, original CI qualification, publication or Server runtime acceptance.
The candidate is **not published**; README continues to describe released Engine
0.183.367.
