class SlidingWindowInfererExport(nn.Module):
"""
Sliding window inference as a single ``torch.nn.Module``, suitable for exporting the
full pipeline (windowing, network, blending and stitching) to ONNX with ``torch.onnx.export``.

:py:class:`monai.inferers.SlidingWindowInferer` drives :py:func:`monai.inferers.sliding_window_inference`,
whose runtime bookkeeping (data-dependent Python control flow, device juggling and in-place
stitching over dynamically computed slices) prevents the whole computation from being captured
as one ONNX graph, so a network using it cannot be deployed without PyTorch (see
https://github.com/Project-MONAI/MONAI/issues/6526). This module precomputes the window layout
for a fixed input spatial size at construction time and expresses the forward pass with tensor
operations only (padding, static slicing, weighted accumulation and normalisation), which the
ONNX exporter can trace into a single graph that reproduces
:py:class:`monai.inferers.SlidingWindowInferer` numerics for the same configuration.

The exportable path intentionally covers the representative deployment case:

- the input spatial size is fixed to ``spatial_size`` (the batch size is read from the input),

State the ONNX batch-size limit or support a dynamic batch.

forward reads the batch size in eager mode, but its Python window loop is unrolled during export. The documented torch.onnx.export call also fixes the input shape to the example batch size. An exported model made with batch size 1 therefore does not accept batch size 2, although this line identifies only the spatial size as fixed. State that each export has a fixed batch size, or implement and test dynamic-batch export. (docs.pytorch.org)

Review comment at @monai/inferers/inferer.py at line 727:
Update the documentation sentence about the input spatial size to clarify that
each ONNX export also fixes the batch size to the example input batch size; do
not imply the exported model supports dynamic batch sizes.

After applying the fix, consider running `coderabbit review --agent` for local
review. Visit https://docs.coderabbit.ai/cli?utm_source=ghpr

- ``network`` returns a single tensor whose spatial size equals ``roi_size``,
- blending uses a precomputed importance map (``mode="constant"`` or ``mode="gaussian"``).

Features of :py:class:`monai.inferers.SlidingWindowInferer` that require runtime decisions
(multiple or dictionary outputs, multi-resolution outputs, buffered stitching, ``process_fn``
and ``with_coord``) are not supported here; use :py:class:`monai.inferers.SlidingWindowInferer`
for those.

Args:
network: the network to run on every window. It should be a ``torch.nn.Module`` so that it
becomes part of this module (and of the exported graph); other callables are accepted
but are then not registered as submodules.
roi_size: the window size to execute sliding window evaluation. If it has non-positive
components, the corresponding ``spatial_size`` components will be used.
spatial_size: the spatial size of the inputs this module will process, excluding the batch
and channel dimensions. The window layout is derived from it once, at construction time.
sw_batch_size: the batch size to run window slices, defaults to 1.
overlap: amount of overlap between scans along each spatial dimension, defaults to ``0.25``.
mode: {``"constant"``, ``"gaussian"``} how to blend output of overlapping windows,
defaults to ``"constant"``.
sigma_scale: the standard deviation coefficient of the Gaussian window when ``mode`` is
``"gaussian"``. Default: 0.125. Actual window sigma is ``sigma_scale`` * ``dim_size``.
padding_mode: {``"constant"``, ``"reflect"``, ``"replicate"``, ``"circular"``} padding mode
for inputs when ``roi_size`` is larger than ``spatial_size``. Defaults to ``"constant"``.
cval: fill value for 'constant' padding mode. Default: 0.

Example:

.. code-block:: python

import torch
from monai.inferers import SlidingWindowInfererExport
from monai.networks.nets import BasicUNet

net = BasicUNet(spatial_dims=2, in_channels=1, out_channels=2)
exportable = SlidingWindowInfererExport(net, roi_size=(64, 64), spatial_size=(128, 160))
torch.onnx.export(
exportable.eval(),

Preserve the input dtype when stitching predictions.

If a float32 input produces float16 network predictions, these allocations make the result and coverage accumulation float16. sliding_window_inference instead uses the input dtype for its output and count map. This changes the returned dtype and can change blended values in mixed-precision inference. Allocate the stitching and coverage tensors using inputs.dtype, and cast predictions as needed for accumulation.

Update the stitching and coverage tensor allocations in the inferer to use

Use a temporary directory for the ONNX file.

On Windows, a default NamedTemporaryFile cannot generally be reopened by path while it remains open. Both the exporter and ONNX Runtime receive that path inside the with block, so the ONNX tests can fail before their assertions run. Create the file path inside a TemporaryDirectory instead.
