'@tanstack/redact': patch
---

Copy non-enumerable Event fields into synthetic events. DOM implementations such as happy-dom define `type`, `target`, `currentTarget` and `composedPath` as non-enumerable accessors, so handlers saw them as `undefined` and controlled inputs never read `e.target.value` in happy-dom test suites.

Minor · Stability & Availability · Quick win

Do not let an unrelated getter prevent event delivery.

If an Event subclass defines get metadata() { throw new Error('unavailable') }, this loop reads metadata before the handler runs. Class getters are non-enumerable, so the previous for…in loop did not read it. Skip optional properties whose getters throw, or limit eager reads to the required event fields. Review comment at @packages/redact/src/dom/synthetic-event.ts at line 21:
Update the property-copy loop that reads native[key] so a throwing optional
getter is skipped without aborting synthetic event construction; preserve
required event fields and allow handler delivery to continue.
