'@tanstack/solid-store': minor
---

Support Solid 2. `@tanstack/solid-store` now requires `solid-js` 2 (`>=2.0.0-rc.19 <3.0.0`); stay on 0.11.x for Solid 1.

- `useSelector` (and `useAtom`, `useStore`, `_useStore`) work unchanged. As with every Solid 2 signal, a value read right after a store write outside a reactive scope shows up after the next flush (`flush()` from `solid-js`, or the next microtask).
- `createStoreContext`'s `StoreProvider` renders the Solid 2 context directly and no longer needs a JSX runtime, so the adapter depends on `solid-js` only.

TanStack Store is compatible with Solid and SolidStart.
`@tanstack/solid-store` 0.12 and later work with Solid 2. For Solid 1, install `@tanstack/solid-store@0.11`.

Point Solid 2 users to the rc tag.

While prerelease mode is active, npm install @tanstack/solid-store resolves to the latest tag, which stays on the Solid 1 line (0.11.x). Changesets publishes prereleases under the dist-tag set in .changeset/pre.json, which is rc. Solid 2 users who follow this command get the 0.11 adapter. Add the rc install command for Solid 2 users until the stable 0.12 release is promoted to latest.

 npm install @tanstack/solid-store
+npm install @tanstack/solid-store@rc

Review comment at @docs/installation.md at line 46:
Update the SolidJS installation instructions so Solid 2 users install the
prerelease via the `rc` dist-tag while prerelease mode is active; keep the
existing untagged command for the stable release path and retain the Solid 1
version guidance.

Update the adapter dependency in all five examples.

The examples declare @tanstack/solid-store: ^0.11.2, but the workspace links the local Solid 2 adapter. A standalone npm install resolves the published 0.11.x adapter, which targets Solid 1, and can fail against solid-js: ^2.0.0-rc.19. Use the Solid 2-compatible adapter release in each example.

five examples to the Solid 2-compatible release, keeping it compatible with the
declared solid-js version.
