WalkthroughThe advisory-lock connection reports session loss to the lock process. The lock process tracks lost connection pids and handles duplicate disconnect notices. Configuration and supervision set up the protocol wrapper. Tests cover backend loss and delayed disconnect handling. ChangesAdvisory lock session-loss handling

@vheathen do you think you could help me to test the entire stacked pr and help me to code review and approve? 🙏🏻 |

I ran the scripts from #330 and #331 and my own scripts for the hanging-reconnect case and the 120 s refusal case against the PR head (e8abd12). The hanging-reconnect case is closed in my runs: in all three runs the Lost 1 advisory lock(s) warning came 1 to 4 ms after the connection logged the disconnect, and no sample showed the subscription subscribed without its lock. On #25 the same warning came after 15 s. Once the proxy forwarded again, the subscription took the lock on the new connection and received the next events.
The script from #330 is still fixed (only NodeB handles the events). The #331 script (two runs) and the 120 s refusal case (two runs) behave as on #25: AdvisoryLocks never got stuck in checkout_call/5, the locks were taken again once the pool was back, and a new subscription got its lock.
The full suite passes at the head in two runs (502 passed, 14 excluded). The new test where the database stops answering new connections fails on #25 with no lock_released within 1 s, and also fails when I move the notice after Postgrex.Protocol.disconnect/2. Removing the lost_connection clause fails both the new test for a late :disconnected notice and the reconnect test from #24.
I also tried two event stores on one database where only A's lock connection goes silent: a proxy in front of A stopped relaying that connection in both directions without closing it, and then the server ended the session. A learned of the loss about 16 s later, when its idle ping timed out, or 15 to 35 s later if a lock query was in flight on that connection; on #25 it took as long or longer. B, connected directly, took the locks within about 1 s, so for that whole time both stores handled the same events.
I couldn't come up with a real failure where only this one connection goes silent while the others keep working, so I think the chance is low and it isn't worth handling here, especially if #29 and #30 cover it with progress fencing (I haven't looked at those yet).

- Line 207: Synchronize the owner-forwarding process before the negative
assertion in the test around `AdvisoryLocks.lock_released`: waiting for `@locks`
to handle the disconnect does not ensure `owner` has forwarded its notification.
Add an explicit bounded synchronization point for the forwarding path, then
retain the assertion that no `:owner_notified` message arrives.
