pixi 0.58.0 fails intermittently with `io error: unexpected end of file` while fetching conda-forge repodata for some platforms, breaking environment builds. v0.81.0 (current latest) does not exhibit this bug; verified by reproducing the failure against a real manifest with 0.58.0 and confirming a clean install with 0.81.0 after clearing the repodata cache. This resulted from trying to resolve issues encountered in @bnorthan 's workshop at I2K x BINA 2026. The old pixi binary here interferes with the newer pixi binary I have installed on the system level. |
