Closing as superseded: we already shipped the intended fix by upgrading the base image to python:3.12.14-slim-bookworm (commit 0c004e8) and explicitly installing the pcre2 fixed version for DLA-4772-1 inside the image (commit 5a2effc). A cross-version jump to 3.14 will be evaluated after finals per our dependency-freeze policy.
