Replaces Windows Live authentication with Microsoft Identity Platform v2, enables Microsoft signup through the existing OAuth flow, and removes Facebook login. Microsoft account creation, email matching, verification, and linking use the shared OAuth behavior.
Microsoft email-ownership policy changes are isolated in draft #2687.
Validation: the backend test-project build passed with zero warnings or errors; 19 focused backend tests and 13 focused frontend tests passed. Frontend type checks and lint passed. GitHub Actions Build #8723 passed on
2cb9d20.Breaking changes:
/api/v2/auth/liveis replaced by/api/v2/auth/microsoft; the Facebook endpoint and provider configuration are removed. Microsoft signup is available when OAuth login is enabled and Microsoft is configured. Facebook-only users can recover access through password recovery. Stored Facebook account records are retained.Verification limit: Real Entra consent and Graph callback require an app registration and remain unverified. Microsoft login and signup stay hidden until configured.
