### Right to left

`dir` sets which way the pages run. In `rtl` the next picture sits to the left and a swipe to the right turns to it. The counter, `index` and the screen reader's next and previous still count in page order, and `dir` defaults to `ltr`. Lay the triggers out the same way round: in an app laid out left to right, `flex-row-reverse` puts the first picture on the right, as here. Under a right-to-left layout rows already run that way, so keep `flex-row` and pass `dir={useDirection()}`.

<ImageViewer.Trigger

source={{ uri: photo.uri }}
alt={photo.alt}
radius={10}
className="aspect-square flex-1 rounded-[10px]"
/>
))}
</View>
</ImageViewer>

### Captions and a larger copy

`caption` is shown under the picture while it is open; a single tap on the picture hides it along with the close button. `fullSource` loads when the viewer opens and replaces `source` once it arrives, so the page can carry small thumbnails.

Keep the trigger order aligned with the viewer in RTL applications.

When the application layout is RTL, flex-row-reverse reverses a row that React Native already mirrors. The first trigger appears on the left, but ImageViewer dir="rtl" places its next page on the left. Select flex-row for an RTL application layout and flex-row-reverse for an LTR application layout. Update the matching examples in apps/docs/content/docs/components/image-viewer.mdx and apps/docs/scripts/usage/image-viewer.json. React Native documents inherited RTL layout direction. (reactnative.dev) Based on learnings, React Native automatically mirrors layout-related styles in RTL layouts; a manual reversal can mirror them twice.

Review comment at @apps/example/src/data/demos/chunk-15.tsx at line 1656:
Update the trigger row in the ImageViewer example to use flex-row for RTL
application layouts and flex-row-reverse for LTR layouts, avoiding a second
reversal from React Native’s RTL mirroring. Apply the matching class adjustment
to the corresponding examples in the image-viewer documentation and usage JSON
so all three stay aligned.
