Adds Generate with AI to the Visual mapper, and an AI section in Settings that later AI features reuse.
Settings, AI: provider (Anthropic or OpenAI-compatible), API key (secret), model (default claude-opus-5-5), API address. No migration.
POST /api/mappingsuggestions: the model writes rules from a source and output sample (+ optional instructions); the server previews them and compares with the output sample before answering. Partner/global values are sent by name only, never values; secret ones not at all. Values frozen from the source count as differences.
Editor: dialog with both samples and instructions, progress + cancel, "Replaced N rules with M · Undo", rows marked where the output differs, Fix with AI.
Tested: unit, HTTP and UI tests, plus 18 live cases against Claude Sonnet (all formats, placeholders, instructions, fix, partner names, prompt injection, 300-line sample).

📝 Summary
Summary
Adds POST /api/mappingsuggestions to generate or refine mapping rules from source and target samples. The server validates samples, calls the configured AI provider, previews the rules, and returns output differences.
Adds Anthropic and OpenAI-compatible provider settings, including a secret API key, model, and optional base URL.
Adds Generate with AI and Fix with AI to the visual mapper. Applying generated rules replaces the current rules in one undoable step. The editor highlights changed rules and reported differences.
Sends context names to the provider without their values. The API key is provider-facing; samples, instructions, rules, and context names are also sent.
Risk
risk:high. This change adds external AI-provider calls and a new API endpoint that handles mapping samples and rules.
Security-sensitive areas
Provider credentials and configurable base URLs.
Data sent to external providers: source and target samples, mapping rules, instructions, and non-secret partner/global names.
Permission checks, request validation, and masking of context values.
Test coverage impact
Adds unit, HTTP integration, and UI tests for provider configuration, request handling, rule parsing and comparison, editor flows, cancellation, and settings choices. The supplied summary does not establish that these tests were run. The reported live-provider cases are author-reported, not independently verified here.
Deployment and operations
No migration is specified.
AI features require provider settings and a valid API key. Calls can take up to three minutes.
Cancelling in the editor stops waiting for the response; it does not stop the provider call.
No deployment or rollback procedure is specified.
The change adds AI provider settings and model clients, an API that generates and checks mapping rules, and editor controls for generation, refinement, undo, and difference review. It also adds tests and documentation for these flows.
Adds editable AI provider, API key, model, and base URL settings. The settings API reports AI configuration and setting choices. The web settings page renders choices as a selector.
AI providers and mapping checks SW.Bitween.Api/Services/Ai/*, SW.Bitween.UnitTests/Ai/*
Adds Anthropic and OpenAI-compatible model clients, prompt construction and parsing, document comparisons, and checks for source-derived fixed values. Unit tests cover these checks and prompt behavior.
Suggestion API and preview validation SW.Bitween.Api/Resources/MappingSuggestions/Suggest.cs, SW.Bitween.Api/Resources/MappingPreviews/Preview.cs, SW.Bitween.HttpTests/MappingSuggestionTests.cs, docs/api-reference.md
Adds the mapping-suggestion endpoint and validates its samples and rules before returning preview output, errors, and differences. Excel samples and preview output use tab-delimited CSV in the described cases. HTTP tests cover suggestions and provider requests.
Editor request and AI tally SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/api/client.ts, SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/api/http/mappers.ts, SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/lib/nativeMapper/aiTally.ts, SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/lib/nativeMapper/rulesReducer.ts, SW.Bitween.Web/ClientApp/src/lib/nativeMapper/__tests__/aiTally.test.ts
Adds the web request method and editor state for generated rules. Difference paths map to editor rows, and the tally is cleared for mapping and sample changes.
Adds the generation dialog, result and refinement controls, undo, and row-level feedback for changed rules and target differences. Component tests cover generation, refinement, and cancellation.
The AI mapping feature works as described, and the remaining problems are narrow. Fix the stale-answer handling, the null-collection crash and the AI address guard before or soon after merge. Cancelling a request still lets the provider finish its call, which the documentation states is intended.

[warning] 73-73: JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(x)) deep-clones by re-serializing: it is slow on large objects and silently drops undefined, functions, Date/Map/Set, and cyclic references. Use structuredClone(x).
Replace JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(value)) with structuredClone(value). It is faster and preserves Dates, Maps, Sets, and cyclic references.
[warning] 146-146: This resets a loading/busy flag only on the success path: if the awaited call rejects the reset never runs and the flag stays stuck truthy (a spinner that never stops, a button disabled forever). Move the reset into a finally block, or mirror it on every catch, so it clears on rejection too.
A trailing setLoading(false) after an await never runs if the awaited call rejects, so the flag stays stuck truthy; reset it in a finally block (or mirror the reset on every catch) so it clears on both paths.
(no-loading-flag-reset-outside-finally)
[warning] 311-311: AiNote has cyclomatic complexity 10, cognitive complexity 16, and maximum nesting depth 3, so its React logic is hard to understand and change. Extract independent branches into components or hooks.
Extract independent render branches and state logic into focused components or hooks until the control flow is easy to follow.
The finally block clears pending on success, on failure and on a superseding request. cancel clears it explicitly. The React Doctor warning at Line 146 does not apply, because that reset is already inside finally.
The stale API-key path is prevented by the delete handler.
Settings.Delete.Handle applies the product default before broadcasting and before returning the response. Therefore, each completed DeleteAsync clears the local BitweenOptions value. The next test cannot observe the previous API key through this path.
SW.Bitween.Api/Services/Ai/AiModels.cs: 1
67-67: 🩺 Stability & Availability
The settings path rejects malformed API addresses.
Bitween.Ai.BaseUrl uses HttpUrl, which trims the value and accepts only absolute http or https URLs. Invalid values throw FormatException before they reach OpenAiModel.Complete. The reported settings failure path does not exist.
The root-list target format already matches DocumentMapper.
Both components report a field under an empty-target root list as (no target)[].sku. The proposed mismatch is not present, so no code change or additional test is required for this concern.
