Walkthrough
Adds a local Viser editor for tactile metadata. The editor supports document editing, validation, JSON load and save, URDF-based geometry, and Edit and Preview modes. It can receive live hand, joint, tactile, and force data for preview updates. The changes also add launch instructions, UI dependencies, browser interaction scripts, and tests.

Merge Risk: Moderate · previous review 44571
The editor opens to the whole network without authentication and can read and write local files. Error text can inject markup into the shared UI, and bad live input or a bad joint mapping can stop the editor and lose unsaved edits. Fix the bind default, escape the Info HTML and guard the live update before merging; the README and status-message problems are minor.

Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.82% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 122 functions across 11 files. (3 skipped: 3 unsupported.)
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

1. Refresh once after each queued event, including rejected edits. Update
segment choices before selecting newly added or cross-hand rows.
2. Reuse FK snapshots through a bounded, instance-owned LRU cache.
3. Redraw static geometry only after changes while retaining live playback
and connection-status updates.
4. Cache received metadata parsing and validation by content, and reuse
draft validation results during drawing.
5. Share common-number inspection between pose and weight controls.
6. Remove redundant weight clamping after the existing range checks.
7. Remove the repeated SDK revision assignment when a background job ends.
Validation: Ruff 0.15.1 lint and formatting checks, package syntax checks,
and focused regression checks for refresh ordering, static/live updates,
cache invalidation and lifetime, mixed inspector fields, and SDK revisions.
Browser and numerical integration remain unverified because the inspection
interpreter lacks numpy, trimesh, viser, and yourdfpy.

Use the existing schema JSON functions for loading, saving, backups, export,
SDK input and saved-state comparisons. Remove editor-extension persistence,
model restoration, resource-path rewriting and the editable/numerical mode.
Drop editor JSON, correspondence CSVs, saved reports, --report and unused
taxel-ID bookkeeping.
Keep incomplete values saveable, preserve raw weights and array ordering,
and validate formal exports separately. Update the README for values-only
files and explicit hand assignment.
Validation: Ruff 0.15.1 lint/format checks, syntax checks, actual JSON save/load
and export checks, CLI checks, and focused UI ordering/repair checks. No new
functions or classes were added. SDK transport and UI checks used stubs;
actual SDK encoding and browser rendering remain unverified.

Use consistent float defaults, an empty string for successful pose validation, explicit matrix copies and float64 transform annotations. Apply transforms once per distinct row.
Relax UI dependency pins and document the Viser minimum for dockable panels and Trimesh 5 compatibility.
