Rubin images need geometry, variance, masks and PSFs preserved when converted into reconstruction inputs. Add optional local FITS/catalog readers, WCS alignment and bundle construction in cuphoton.ximage.adapters.rubin, using the released lsst-images package. Native mask flags become boolean good-pixel masks, and PSF approximations retain their provenance.
When images are aligned, transform PSF moments into the reference pixel grid using the local WCS Jacobian. Coverage includes differing pixel scales, anisotropic moments and non-right-angle rotations, together with archive, mask, catalog and bundle fixtures.
Builds on the generic bundle contract. Data acquisition remains with the caller.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
Adds explicit-format image access, normalized geometry and image views, mask policies, WCS conversion, and PSF, aperture-correction, and provenance diagnostics. Adds the rubin optional dependency and public adapter exports.
Please review the complete diff, including code, tests, examples, and documentation. Focus on correctness, numerical contracts, resource ownership, optional dependencies, and unintended disclosure in material intended for public distribution. Keep suggested fixes within this PR's scope.

The adapters keep Rubin specifics out of the solver, and rubin_warp hands reprojection to xRep instead of reimplementing it. I read this layer but did not run its tests, which need lsst-images. My one request is about package layout. Rubin is one survey, and a clearly named adapter package would let the core package and CLI read as general reconstruction.

Rubin code now lives under cuphoton.ximage.adapters.rubin and writes good-pixel masks directly. Keeping the rubin-* command names until the shared CLI supports subgroups is fine. I did not run the adapter tests, which need lsst-images.

Header-only CSV files pass validation.
If a product CSV has all required columns but no data rows, and the caller gives no visits, ok is True with row_count == 0. This applies to object, source, forced-source, and the other products. A truncated or failed export can leave a header-only file. The validator then reports it as valid, and downstream stages get no catalog data.
Add an empty-file check to ok. If zero-row products must stay valid for some products (for example dia-source with no detections), document that rule and limit the check to the other products.
